Virtual Scouting Event: Law and Government

This December, the National Constitution Center will offer a special virtual program, exclusively available for participants of Girl Scouts of the USA and Scouts BSA! Our scout programs feature exhibit tours and interactive trivia games, plus Q and A sessions with judges, law enforcement officers, park ranges, elected officials, and more!

All Rise! Participants will explore the American legal system with a panel discussion featuring legal experts and law enforcement officers. Then they will collaborate during our interactive courtroom program, and play the parts of attorneys, witnesses, and even the jury. Together we’ll explore how people throughout American history have resolved conflicts through civil dialogue and healthy debate. The program will also include special guest speaker Christopher R. Riano, president of the Center for Civic Education.

This event is perfect for Scouts BSA pursuing the “Law” merit badge (Requirements 1, 2B, 3, 4, 5, 6B, 7, 8, 9, 10) and Girl Scouts pursuing the “Finding Common Ground” Badge. Optional merit badge counseling is available for Scouts BSA participants!
