Cookie Decorating Classes
We host cookie decorating classes for troops. We teach girls how to create beautiful edible master pieces with carefully guided step by step instructions. We bake the cookies, make the royal icing and bag it in the proper consistencies, setting everyone up for success and a relaxing and fun activity.
We were a home based business until we opened our commercial bakery and cafe in March 2024. We host monthly public classes as well as private classes at our beautiful shop. We are the only peanut and tree nut free bakery in Northeast Ohio so can provide a safe environment for those with nut allergies. I am also happy to share information regarding food allergies and the importance of looking out for your friends with food allergies.
Lizzie’s Bakery is located at 16614 Chagrin Boulevard, Shaker Heights, Ohio 44120, Cuyahoga County. This is an ongoing, in-person class that can be arranged at mutually agreeable dates:
- Tuesday through Friday 4pm-7pm
- Saturdays 12:00pm-4pm
- Sundays 11:00am-4:00pm
Our normal classes are $45 per person for a 6 cookie, 90 minute class. We could provide special classes for troops at $20 per person. Maximum attendance is 20 students.

Free parking in front of the bakery, behind the bakery and across the street at Heinens Grocery store.
We have found that children 8 and up do just fine without parents. We request that parents (or troop leaders) of younger students hang out in the cafe during class.
Please wear comfortable clothes that can get a bit messy with royal icing are encouraged. Students are allowed to bring aprons from home if they would like. We also encourage students to put long hair back into a ponytail.
