CivSquared stands for civics and civility. What exactly IS civics? And civility? We will delve into these topics and more as we earn our civics badges.

Ever want to discuss current events without the drama we sometimes see today? Want to become an expert on an issue but not sure how?

What would YOU do if you were President or Governor or Mayor for a day?

Want to learn about government or legal careers?

Be prepared to lead the change in your town, state, and country! Start with the Civics badges and gain an in-depth understanding of how local, state, and federal government works. Get ready to be a voter, an activist, or a political leader. Research laws and understand how they’re created. Explore how the electoral college works. Learn about the representation of women in government, and so much more. You will also research your own government officials and make plans to meet them.

This program can take place in troop meeting spaces or local libraries within 10 or so miles of Solon, or GSNEO headquarters in Macedonia. Available 2pm – 6pm weekdays, Saturdays 11 am – 6 pm, Sundays 1 pm – 6 pm. Please contact Pam Conger-Cox at (440) 665-6240 or pcongercox@aol.com.

$5.00 per girl for printed materials and badges.

Leaders should plan to stay in case girls have any issues.
