KSS Robotics is a local Kent-based non-profit organization that supports STEM education robotics teams in FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) competitions.
FIRST® is an international STEM education organization which runs sport-like STEM education contests for grades K-12.
Students will design, build, program, and operate a robot to compete in head-to-head challenges. Students learn skills such as programming, manufacturing, CAD, electrical, safety, business, outreach, communication, problem solving, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Caregivers and adults are welcome to volunteer as a mentor or coach.
Please wear closed-toed shoes and safety glasses. If you do not have a pair of safety glasses, they will be provided.
