FARE Teal Pumpkin Project

Learn about food allergy awareness and inclusion with FARE’s Teal Pumpkin Project! Girl Scouts will discover how to make Halloween safe and fun for all kids by participating in a Teal Pumpkin event or host a non-food treat giveaway (like glow sticks, stickers, or bracelets) at a Trunk-or-Treat or on Halloween night. Girls will earn a special TPP patch upon completion.

This community opportunity is online or in-person (flexible) depending on the how the troop decides to complete it.

The cost is free or low cost because it can either be a TPP event like a teal pumpkin painting party or offering non-food treats (like glow sticks, bracelets, stickers) on Halloween or at a Trunk or Treat.

Caregivers and troop leaders are encouraged to participate and assist younger girls with painting, supply gathering, or supervising non-food treat distribution during Halloween events.

Visit http://foodallergy.org/TPPPatch (launching in September) to sign up, access resources, and learn how to earn the Teal Pumpkin Project patch. For additional questions, contact Amber Arias at aarias@foodallergy.org.
