Empowerment in Action: Self-Defense for Future Leaders!
Get ready for an unforgettable experience! Join Brooklyn Kung Fu for a high-energy, hands-on workshop specifically designed to help Girl Scouts find their voice and their power. This isn’t just a martial arts class—it’s a journey into self-confidence where Girl Scouts learn to stand tall, stay safe, and trust their instincts.
Why Book This Seminar?
Our program is led by Program Director Miss. Jessica Cliff, alongside Sifu Daniel Cliff. Having Jessica at the helm ensures a female-forward instructional environment, providing the girls with a strong role model who understands the importance of physical and emotional empowerment. We focus on making safety education approachable, fun, and deeply memorable.
Girl Scout Skills We’ll Master:
“Internal Radar” Training: Turning “gut feelings” into a powerful safety tool to spot trouble before it starts.
“Power Voice” Mastery: Practicing the “Strong Girl Scout Voice” to set clear boundaries and be heard.
Smart Escape & Anti-Grab Basics: Practical techniques to break free from grabs using leverage and smart movement.
Give your troop the gift of confidence and the tools they need to navigate the world with strength!

Call or Text: 216-351-3222
Email: kungfuacademywest@gmail.com
When you reach out, please mention your troop level and estimated number of participants so we can tailor the “Internal Radar” and “Power Voice” activities specifically for your group!
Standard Seminar Fee: $250
What’s Included: This fee covers professional instruction for up to 20 participants, full use of our Brooklyn facility (or travel to your location), and all necessary training materials for the workshop.
Troop Collaboration & Accessibility:
Partner Up: To help offset the cost, we encourage smaller troops to connect and co-host a session together. Sharing the seminar fee between 2-3 troops is a great way to make the event even more affordable while fostering community.
Scholarships & Sponsorships: We believe every girl should have access to these life-saving skills regardless of troop funds. If your troop has a financial barrier, please reach out to Miss. Jessica to discuss—we have scholarships and local sponsorships available to help cover the cost of the program.
Parking is behind our building at 4315 Ridge Rd. – no cost to park.
Adults are not required to attend the session with their Girl Scouts, but they are absolutely welcome to join us!
Why we encourage you to stay:
While the class is designed for the girls, we highly encourage caregivers to participate because the skills we teach—like trusting your “Internal Radar” and setting boundaries—are essential for everyone, not just youth. Having parents and leaders present allows the Girl Scouts to see these skills modeled by the adults they look up to, making the “Power Voice” mastery even more impactful!
Please wear:
Moveable Clothing: Participants should wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows for a full range of motion.
Skirts & Dresses: If Girl Scouts choose to wear skirts, please ensure they have shorts underneath.
Tucked & Fitted: For safety during “Anti-Grab” drills, shirts should be tucked in or fitted to prevent catching.
Footwear: No special shoes are needed—Girl Scouts will go barefoot while on the training mats.
Girl Scouts are welcome to bring a water bottle or closed drink. We also have water & Gatorade available for $1.
