Dancer Badge Workshop

Girls will explore the art of dance through an interactive Dancer Badge Workshop where they’ll learn basic movement, rhythm, and performance skills. They’ll discover how dancers tell stories through movement and gain confidence expressing themselves creatively. Along the way, they’ll build teamwork skills and celebrate artistic achievement.

Some activities include:

  1. Arrive at the museum around noon for open play and hands-on exhibits.
  2. Participate in a guided Dancer Badge Workshop.
  3. Earn their Dancer Badge and receive a special 50th anniversary souvenir patch.
  4. Take home a FREE grab bag filled with goodies.
  5. Attend a special discounted 2:00 PM performance of Aladdin on March 14th or 15th with fellow Scouts and their families.
  6. Sit together in a dedicated Girl Scout section with easy open seating.

This event combines creativity, learning, and live performance in one unforgettable day. Girls get to play, move, create, and then experience the magic of live theatre together. It’s a unique way to earn a badge, celebrate the arts, and make lasting memories with their troop. Plus, the special Scout section makes it easy for everyone to enjoy the show together!

Registration is $25.

The event will be held at the Akron Children’s Museum (216 S Main St, Akron, OH 44308) and the Akron Civic Theatre (182 S Main St, Akron, OH 44308).

Please maintain volunteer-to-youth ratios for this event.

Please wear something the girls can move in for the Dancer Badge Workshop.

Though a grab bag will be available, most Scouts will bring a snack to eat before the performance.
